Climber waves the Thomas Dudley flag on the highest mountain in Europe

Thomas Dudley Ltd’s flag has been waved at the top of Mount Elbrus, the highest mountain in Europe.

Jevgenis Melnikovs, known to many as Eugene is an employee at Masefield-Beta Ltd, sister company of Thomas Dudley Ltd, climbed Mount Elbrus on 7th August 2016.  The mountain is also known as the tenth most prominent peak in the world.

Eugene climbed the mountain in stages, which lasted four days in total. He was accompanied by his wife Svetlana, and his friends Artur and Vadim who are from his home town of Riga, in Latvia. They were accompanied by a local guide called Aleksei.

Mount Elbrus is part of the Caucasus Mountain range separating Russia and Georgia. Eugene is an enthusiastic mountaineer and potholer.
