Thomas Dudley’s ‘family day’ enjoyed by over 350

We thanked our workforce and their families by holding a family day at our factory and the Black Country Museum.

The family day took place on Saturday 22nd June and was enjoyed by over 350 local people. Those attending were given a behind the scenes tour of Thomas Dudley’s foundry and plastics divisions which are located on the Birmingham New Road.

Visitors also collected goody bags containing a bespoke cast iron frying pan made in the foundry before meeting up for a free visit to the Black Country Museum in the afternoon.

Rob Holden, Finance Director and organiser of the family day explained “at Thomas Dudley, we recognise and value the enormous contribution that our people make to the continued success of the business. Over the last two years, they have helped us to perform very strongly despite the recession by introducing new plant and machinery, launching new products and growing our sales”.

“The family day was our way of thanking them and their families for their support and was a great success. When people see our state-of-the-art manufacturing facilities, they are able to appreciate the Black Country’s unique manufacturing capabilities first hand. The afternoon at the Museum rounded off a perfect day and we look forward to holding similar events in the future”.
